Environmentally friendly precipitated calcium carbonate made from CO2
The raw materials of Ecotancal are CO2 contained in boiler exhaust gas released into the atmosphere and highly alkaline wastewater, making it an environmentally friendly product. Ecotancal is manufactured mainly through chemical reactions. It has high purity and can be used for a wide range of industrial applications.
Features
The raw materials are CO2, which is a greenhouse gas, and highly alkaline wastewater. Ecotancal is produced by reacting highly alkaline wastewater generated at precast concrete product factories with CO2 contained in boiler exhaust gas. Approximately 440 g (more precisely, 427–436 g) of CO2 is fixed for every 1 kg of Ecotancal.
High-purity quality Ecotancal is manufactured through chemical reactions. Since no impurities are introduced during the manufacturing process, high-purity calcium carbonate can be provided. Its purity is 97 wt% or higher. Ecotancal also provides a high degree of whiteness.
Example applications
Flue gas desulfurization material Can remove sulfur oxides from exhaust gas.
Alternative aggregate for concrete raw materials Improves the flowability of concrete.
Paper, paint, and coatings Contributes to improving whiteness.
Rubber products Can be used to modify rubber and as a filler.
Plastic products Contributes to improving the strength and material properties of plastics.
Line marking material for sports grounds A safer product compared with conventional slaked lime.
